Protein Engineering Analysis Tool (PEAT) is a collection of software that aids researchers in the field of protein analysis, engineering and design.

PEAT is distributed under a GNU General Public License v3 at GoogleCode: http://code.google.com/p/peat/.

PEAT aims to provide seamless integration of experimental and theoretical data, and currently consists of two main packages:

PEATDB (DataBase)

  • Analysis of experimental data
    • Fitting Enzyme Kinetics Data
    • Fitting NMR titration curves
    • Storing DNA sequences
    • Restriction site analysis, Primer design
    • Sharing experimental data

PEATSA (Structure Analysis)

  • Predicting mutant-induced changes in
    • pKa values and pH-activity profiles
    • Protein stability
    • Protein-ligand binding affinities
    • Enzyme-substrate binding affinities
